Greenah View has three bedrooms, three downstairs rooms and two bathrooms. It dates from the 17th century at one end and the 19th at the other. We've redecorated it outside and in. There is central heating throughout, plus extra heaters for chilly winter weather.
You can park your car in the courtyard to the right of the front door, near enough to it to make the business of unloading and loading easy.
There is sufficient space to park two cars adjacent if needed.
(The garage is not available for guest parking.)
Inside, the house is well lit. The natural light is good, and when the sun sets, room lighting is generous, letting you enjoy the original paintings on the walls and the carefully-chosen antiques.
The front hall has seats, and a walk-in cupboard to hang coats and store boots. This is where you get ready for walks, and strip off outer layers when you return.
It's also a room to plan walks - we provide maps, route-planning aids, binoculars. And it's a place you can just sit and read, while others watch TV in the living room.
The living room has a real fire, and fuel for it - and plenty of more modern heating for those who prefer that.
With a tea room at one end of the village and a dining pub at the other (and a good pub-grub pub in the next village just over a mile away), you need never cook - but if you do, the kitchen has all you need.
The kitchen roofbeam is 17th century, but its utilities are 21st century.
The back hallway leads to the downstairs shower room, which is at the foot of the wide stairs. (There is a stairlift if anyone in the party needs it.)
Upstairs, the landing gives onto the three bedrooms and muralled bathroom.
For the super-king main bedroom and the twin room, we provide four individual-size mattress toppers, so you can choose to keep your mattress firmer or make it softer.
All the duvets and pillows are non-allergenic - no feathers or down.
The single room has a truckle bed, so it can become a twin room. The mattresses are foam (not memory foam, just foam) and are the softest in the house.

We chose Uldale because it stood in scenery we loved to explore. We decorated Greenah View to be a house we'd love to stay in.
We hope you'll feel the same.
